  • - Ooops its May already -

    I have been so so busy!!

    Time passed so quickly.... now theres only like 5 months before my wedding~

    What have I done?

    Last mentioned was that I signed up wedding package with Z weddings... photoshoot will be by Chris Ling, both the video and pre wedding photos...

    Venue confirmed to be at Capella.... Starting preps in June...

    Started on pre wedding shoot but because it was raining that day, the shoot got postponed till end of May...

    Our parents have met up!!!! Phew~ Not as bad as I expected... lol...

    Now I'm in the midst of customising my wedding head piece.... Also trying to finalize on my actual day wedding photographer and videographer...

    I'm also looking out for wedding shoes!

    Shall elaborate on the AD photographer and videographer later...

    - Wedding Head Piece -

    My wedding theme will be Grecian...

    Last year, it was pink, black and all...

    This year, I'm going for a more classy feel.... and since Capella has gold sash available for all tables, I might as well go with the theme of Gold... and making it Grecian...

    I'm currently customising my wedding head piece...

    I will be having 2 head pieces... One fitting the Grecian theme... I will also use that during the pre wedding photoshoot...

    Cannot wait to see the final piece!!!

    I'll be doing a flower head piece.... to be worn together with the veil.... with white flowers and gold leaves...

    Thinking of wearing my hair like this in the morning....



    Hopefully I can find a low back wedding dress too!!

    Will be picking my wedding dress sometime in June!! *Excited*

    - Wedding Shoes -

    I love looking at wedding shoes... although I will pick one out only in August...

    All the wedding shoes I love happens to be heels... But I'm determined to wear flats! So we shall see....

  • - Style -

    Its CNY! It means time to clear out old clothes and buy some new ones...

    Since I had the whole week off this week, I decided to do some wardrobe cleaning and revamping...

    I already cleared before CNY... but more now...

    Recently, I had been lazy to dress up...

    Shorts, Tank, Jacket... there... thats it~

    I even bought a few shoes which I haven wore them yet because I am too lazy to put on a pair of heels...

    Realised I cannot be so lazy... since I cannot be young forever, if I don't dress up now, when can I?

    Talking about style icons... I have my few favourites...

    One of them is Miranda Kerr.... You should know her as a Victoria's Secret Angel...

    I don't want to wear those body hugging clothes because comfort is Key to me...

    So here are some of my favourites!

    I love off shoulders!! So this dress is perfect~




    Realised I picked all the ones with jackets... Hee hee... Coz I love jackets!! Or blazers...

    I do not like those with shoulder paddings... so its quite hard to find a nice one...

    I have alot of black and whites in my wardrobe... So it'll be good if I can purchase some more coloured ones to match...

    Now... its time to go shopping!!! Yay!

  • - Happy 6th Anniversary -

    Celebrated our 6th anniversary last week...

    Decided to get the Groupon deal for the Tasting Room....

    $36 for 4-course dinner...

    After work here we go!



    Started off with some drinks...

    All their house wines and beers are 1 for 1....
    My Moscato and his Beer
    Both of us had the same scallops as starters....


    Seafood tomato for him and mushroom soup for me...

    Both soups tasted not bad!!
    Chicken Pesto Pasta... I didn take photo of his Squid Ink Pasta

    The appetiser and soup were delicious... But the main course was passable only...

    My favourite part... the dessert!!!

    Banana Cake and Creme Brulee...

    Yum Yum!

    Overall, the dinner was good... except the food service could have been better...

    Use Gordon Ramsey's theory... food should be served together... that would have been better...

    6 years has passed so quickly... it takes effort from both parties to make the relationship work...

    We have two anniversaries to celebrate every year... Dating anniversary and wedding anniversary...

    I didn't do much shopping this year... will just dig out something to wear... hee hee.... I have clothes I bought from BKK that I haven worn yet~

    Oh I bought this pair of nude flats which I'm loving! So comfy..... I'm trying not to go back to buy another.... Comfy shoes are hard to come by...



    Also.... another addition to the Chanel collection....



    Puipui and I will be having our own reunion dinner tml... Had with his family on friday and with mine on saturday... tml will be for our small family of two...

  • - All About Hair -

    Had a long day today... and most of it... dealing with horrible hair care consultants...

    Anyway, took leave today to finish up CNY spring cleaning.... I usually take a few days because I have 2 places to clean... my own house and Puipui's (and my) room...

    Continuing part 3 cleaning this coming Saturday... bleh!

    Anyway.... after cleaning, decided to head to town to try the new Groupon I bought...

    Some hair treatments from this Y** place and it only cost $19.90...

    I always think girls must care for their hair just like they care for their skin etc... so even when you think you have no major problems, it doesn't hurt to get some treatments done...

    I had some doubts before going down but Puipui kept saying I should just try since I already bought the Groupon...

    And my doubts were spot on!

    I know the usuals are like hair analysis and so on.... and I thought they would let me at least try their treatments before trying to sell me their packages...

    But NO! The moment the hair analysis started, she started to bring up the packages they have...

    I couldn't really catch half of the things she was trying to say so I looked quite bored... so much so she had to ask me "So far ok?"

    At that point, I didn wanna do the treatments already... I just wanted to leave..

    Come on... your sale tactics don't work on me because I am not exactly stupid...

    But you know... deep down, I really wanted to have my scalp cleansed so I was secretly hoping she would let me TRY MY GROUPON!

    AND NOT SELL ME $1800 TO $3600 TO $5400 PACKAGES!

    Really dumb pple... because how can you convince customers to buy your product when you don't let them try it first!

    In the end, she said the Groupon I bought is only maintenance treatment... the thing I need is scalp cleansing... so I can top up $180 to get the scalp cleansing done...

    No Thank You~

    It took me 2 hours to get out of that place! Shitty~ Waste my time.... And they force you to tell them 1 problem you have... if you don't have any problems, you better make up one... but be prepared this made up problem will explode into a full fledge life threatening disease~

    In the end..... I went to the hair salon next door where Puipui was cutting his hair, did a scalp analysis and did a one time scalp deep cleansing plus nourishing hair treatment....

    It was SO GOOD.... they really scrub your scalp and after the hair treatment, my hair was really soft! Plus, so many massages that went along with the treatment and they explained what they were doing during each step of the treatment process...

    I'm gonna go back there every month to get my scalp cleansed and hair treated... Price to pay to have long hair...

    And... I'm never going to those Hair Care centers ever in my life again... I'll go to National Skin Center if I have a problem instead...

    My hair is still soft from the treatment... and I am not exaggerating... I have done other treatments before but this was slightly different... Hair is really really soft... and scalp feels clean...

    Scalp cleansing should be done once every 3 weeks... Even if you wash your hair everyday....

    Gonna do facial mask now then rest...

  • - Hello 2012!!! -

    Another year has gone by!!!

    I hope 2012 will be a good year and hope everyone around me will still be healthy, happy and blessed.

    2011 is a very important year for me... It marks several milestones in my life...

    2012 will be equally important.... Looking forward to it!

    As with all other years, I will do a short post of things that happened in my life... I wanna remember all of it!!!

    - 2011 ~ Year of Weddings! -

    So many of my dear friends got married in 2011!!! We are all moving on to the next stage in life.... Happy for All of them!

    - Vday and Anniversary 2011 -

    Celebrated another year of anniversary and valentine's day with PuiPui.....

    Its 5 years and going on to mark our 6th on 18 Jan 2012!

    Hope to celebrate more Vdays and Anniversaries with him....




    - Puipui's Graduation! -

    Puipui finally graduated in 2011!!!! He is now a full time working adult... hee hee....

    After our studies, we finally are able to move on to the next stage in life....

    But now... we feel a little nostalgic when we talk about our school and university life...

    But... happy for him...

    - Engagement -

    So... after grad... as I said, we can move on to the next stage in life...

    Proposal on May 14 2011.... At Universal Studios...

    I think we have great affinity with Sentosa... Coz proposal was at Sentosa... ROM was at Sentosa... and wedding is gonna be at Sentosa as well!

    Not to mention, I started my career and spent 2 years at Sentosa....

    When can I buy a house at Sentosa??? Hahaa....

    We are gg back USS to take our wedding pictures in March/April.... coz its something special to us...

    - New House -

    2011 is also the year we purchased our first very own house....

    Its Esparina EC.... we made several attempts at BTO... but failed...

    Decided not to wait any longer so decided on an EC instead so that we can make use of the government's grant...

    Can't wait to move in!!!!

    - New Car -

    We also bought a new car... a first fully paid for by the both of us...

    Sold my car last year... couldn't stand the taxi queues and fare increases... So decided on buying our own...

    I love it!!



    - ROM 2011 -

    We had our ROM ceremony in November this year... and it was also Puipui's birthday...

    Photos are all on facebook...

    Now I am legally married... but not traditionally married yet...

    2012 will mark the year of our customary ceremony and wedding... after which... I can officially have kids and all...

    It was held at OneDegree15 Marina Club... The event was a blast.... I'm very thankful to everyone who came, help out and really love the photos taken by Dazza... Speaking of which... I must send my thanks card to him!!!


    - Holidays!!! -

    Didn't travel as much as I wanted to this year... But still had a good dose of enjoyment and time away from work...

    - Staycations -

    Had a few staycations this year.... Its my favourite past time and hobby... checking out different hotels... hee hee...

    Organised a family photoshoot earlier in 2011 as well....

    It was so fun!!!! Should have it more often....


    - Christmas 2011 -

    Christmas...... I extremely love Christmas....

    This year was great coz the weather was cooling and seems like everyone was cheerful as well... Enjoyed Christmas this year!







    - Same old me -

    As for me... I'm still the same old me....

    Must double up to lose weight in 2012... photoshoot is in March/April!!!! Oh boy~

    And... I still love Chanel.... hee hee

    Managed to sign up my wedding package already... Decided to forfeit the one previously signed.... And I am excited for this one!

    Photoshoot will be by Chris Ling... and I took the pre-wedding video shoot as well.... Really need to lose weight now...

    I am most pleased that I managed to accomplished my 2011 resolution... and that is to finally register for my QP... Now starting the 2 years log in journey and exams in 2014....

    I decided to set very simple resolutions in 2012.... That is to cherish loved ones and improve myself... Going for language classes and more pole dancing classes....

    Shall start the new year now!

  • Wedding Ups and Downs

    Time passes so fast its unreal....

    I think I have been rather busy the past month or two...

    Not so much with wedding preps... but trying to find a car and for awhile with work...

    Work has taken up much energy and at the end of the day, I just feel like enjoying... So didn do much on wedding prep... just didn't feel like doing...

    Is this normal or what?

    Oh and anyway, it isn't a wedding thats coming... its my registry of marriage...

    I am becoming a "married" woman!

    - Wedding <Up> Moments -

    Moments I really enjoy are times I see my family busy finding something to wear for the event... I love looking at them try clothes... and ask me if they look nice etc...

    I love seeing them excited... esp my mum...

    In any case, this was done partly for them... so its nice to see them happy preparing for it....

    I have some dressing up to do myself... Went for trial make up last sat...

    I think the make up artist and hair stylist were all pretty amazed that I asked for simplicity... Why? Must a bride be always fanciful?



    I chose smokey eyes and hair down... No fancy buns... don't like...

    Its easy to do and easy to maintain that day... and not so much washing up due to hair spray...


    Can't see my hair here... but this is the make up I'll be having...

    Hopefully the next few weeks, things will fall into place... and everything will just be fine...

    - Wedding <Down> Moments -

    I held my ROM seperately from my Customary wedding because I wanted to catch the date of 5th November this year... Same date as my parents anniversary...

    And its too tight to organise a wedding dinner because I am too lazy plus picky...

    Thats why its seperate...

    Also, I booked this event, not only for my ROM, but to celebrate Puipui's bdae and my parents wedding anniversary....

    When I invite people, I don't expect anything in return... I don't expect gifts or ang baos... I just want your attendance...

    But why is it several people have either came up to me or said to my parents to tell me not to expect money or gifts because its just a ROM party...

    I won't deny... its annoying...

    I don't expect this event to be a money churning event... I am not raising money ok~

    I want to throw a party and I want to spend money to make myself and people around me happy...

    I know people just want to make it clear... but do you have to?

    It has just made a nice event a realistic one...

    To make things clear.... I INVITE YOU FOR YOUR PRESENCE, NOT FOR YOUR MONEY OR GIFTS...

    AND I REALLY DON'T WANT TO GIVE YOU ASSURANCE OR CONSOLATION THAT WHATEVER YOU GIVE IS ACCEPTABLE OR NOT...

    BECAUSE THATS NOT PART OF MY AGENDA.

    LASTLY, I AM NOT MONEY-FACE.

    I go around sourcing for nice wine.... and worry if the food is sufficient for my guest... I want to ensure the event is enjoyable for myself and all... I engaged a photobooth for people to keep as souveneirs...

    I really did all this just to make myself and everyone happy...

    Not because I want your money or gift....

    My mum threw an elaborate 21st birthday party for me last time, not so that I can get lots of birthday presents, but to make me happy... This is the same...

    As much as people want me to understand their intentions, I want people to understand my intentions...

    And if you give me anything, it should come from THE HEART...

    I know its unreal, but it hurts me quite abit...

    But oh well.... thats just the only down side...

    I'm still looking forward to the event!

    And did I say? I love my new baby I bought with Puipui!!

  • - Invitation Cards -

    For the upcoming Solemnisation, we have already started giving out some of the invitation cards...

    It will be a cosy event where close friends and relatives are invited...

    Becoz there are some limitations to the number of pax we can invite for the Solemnisation, we will hold a bigger event for the wedding coz we hope that everyone we know can attend...

    Made my invitation cards at Craft Inc Design

    My theme for the Solemnisation will be Light Pink and Black...

    I love the combination of Black Lace and Ribbons...



    Also, theres a component which I made myself...

    An entry ticket... mainly for entry into Sentosa and for me to take note of the attendance...

    Hope to send out most invitations by the end of July...

  • - Venue for Solemnisation -

    We have decided on the venue back in June...

    Went down a couple of times to take a look at the place...

    Initially we want to rent the private manor at Capella for the solemnisation

    But they told us their max capacity is only about 25 pax

    So we had to switch venue...

    - One Degree 15 Marina Club -

    We will be having it at the glass block as seen above...

    A 3-storey block, all for our usage...

    Full glass windows with views out into the marina...
    And with pool views too...

    It'll be a fun filled event!

    We have prepared some photography booths where our guests can take and print photos...

    More on that later...

    I can't wait to try out having lunch at the pool, half submerged into the water...

  • - My Wedding -

    Didn't blog for a few months and here I am... getting married...

    Ever since I started blogging since 2004, I have been recording alot of important milestones in my life... and its fun to occasionally read through them again...

    From sad times to happy times, birthdays, anniversaries, family trips, old new relationships, graduation etc...

    I wanna record down this important milestone of my life too...

    That I am now entering the married world...

    Being termed a misus rather than a miss... feeling old...

    And this is something every girl would have thought about...

    Who am I gonna marry next time? How am I getting married... How will my marriage be like...

    And now that it is happening, I want to make sure I fulfill my dream but at the same time not exploding a hole in my pocket...

    - Getting Married -

    Puipui and I have been talking about it... Not about the proposal... but about getting married...

    But we never took it seriously... it was always meant to be a joke...

    Like how he said he would wanna get engaged after he graduates or how we can just get married in Vegas...

    Sometimes, we would also seriously think through if we are suitable to be together... whether we are meant to get married...

    All those never materialize... Until he finally graduated and got his first permanent job...

    I did tell him I want to get married before I turn 30... and that is like 2.5 years later... so there isn't much time...

    The serious thought came when a friend of ours decided to get married... and started to plan early...

    We thought to ourselves... are we procrastinating too much? Are we still gonna meet my 30 yr old mark?

    I want 3 kids! So getting married early is important.... but we actually procrastinated until now... coz we thought there was still time...

    We have been together for 5 years... and his mum did ask when are we settling down...

    So we decided not to daydream anymore... we should action...

    How to start the action? We were initially rather lost... haha!

    - The Proposal -

    Initially, I didn't want diamond ring... I wanted a watch as the love token... I don't feel anything for diamond... I love watches!

    But he was pretty traditional... he said he still believe he had to buy his first ring...

    I thought about it for quite sometime...

    In the end, I decided it was true... I can buy a watch anytime... why not let him buy a diamond for me? LOL~

    So I told him... I want a conflict-free ring...

    The first few times we walked past jewellery shop, I peeked at the diamond and didn't feel anything... esp when the sign board says "Diamond discount!"...

    I went into the few known ones and I asked them do they know anything about conflict free diamonds...

    Only a sales executive at Goldheart knew what I was talking about...

    After window shopping, we saw this Arttica Ice diamond, a new product from Goldheart where the diamonds are from Canada... The sales attendant told me if I wanted something to be sure of the conflict free thingy, I can choose this or take another range...

    Why does a girl look at her ring before she was proposed to?

    Because I'm pretty particular... although we all know nothing can really gurantee that the diamonds are clean...

    I told him that he can get me that if he wants, if not I'd really prefer the watch...

    Lastly I told him... if he wants to get married, I will still want the traditional way where he propose to me first before we get on with any preparations... and I don't want to be around when he purchases the "token"...

    He tried to be cheeky... occasionally telling me he will choose the watch... then tell me he will choose the ring... or telling me he will get me the 0.7ct then sometimes tell me he will buy the 1ct...

    He tried to be smarter than me... but I also quite smart ok~

    Then one day he suddenly said "Lets go Universal Studios..."

    I was like... "Huh? Why?" He said I wanted to go for quite sometime so lets go and unwind...

    Well ok~ I went along... at that point in time, he told me he still needed time to save up for the "token"...

    Then until he told me we had to arrive there by 10am on saturday (14/05/11)... I hate early mornings on a saturday!

    So I told him I don't want to... and only if Jay Chou was there, I will go at 10am...

    Poor boy had to drag me out of bed and finally gave in and said "you won't regret it"...

    Hahaa! He shouldn't booked whatever he booked at 10am la! Straight giveaway coz I won't get out of bed so early just to go Universal studios right~

    Anyway, we were late... and arrived at about 10.45am... At this point, I was trying to think what could he possibly have at 10am?

    He dragged me into the VIP area... Since when USS has VIP area and I didn't know? It was quite surprising this boy will take any effort to book this...

    The VIP thingy came as a surprise... and a pleasant one... at this point it was already somewhat obvious... but just the day before, he said casually that he couldn't get the token he wanted coz it was already sold... and the day will be a very long day... is he really gonna do it? and where?

    You know if you think too much, you actually spoil the fun... so I decided to not think about it... and just go with the flow...

    What caught me by surprise was that he proposed very early into the start of the tour... I thought it could be during lunchtime or at night when theres fireworks... I never thought it would be so fast?! I haven even seen Shrek yet!

    But he did...

    But I loved it...

    Because it was something I didn't expect him to do... I meant the entire package thingy...

    And I didn't even know when he managed to buy the ring since I was with him almost everyday! During lunch and after work...

    Before that I was still asking the entire world if they wanted to go USS with us... Not knowing what he planned...

    Overall... I enjoyed my day... I enjoyed the weather... and I enjoyed everything...

    My family and cousins joined us at the end of the day for dinner and we broke the news to them...
    My 1 carat token....

    Thankew ah puipui Lai~!!! Muackzz!!

    I'm now in the midst of preparation... We already gotten our Solemnization venue and it will be 1 year apart from the actualy wedding...

    We will be holding the solemnization on his birthday this year at One degree 15 marina club, which is also my parent's wedding anniversary..

    And wedding next year during my birthday...

    Have already started making the invitations and gotten my hair and make up stylist at the Goodwood park wedding show last sunday... Photographer is also booked...

    We are also looking at Capella as our lunch venue... and will be viewing the ballroom tomorrow...

    Will update on everything soon!!

    I am now engaged and happy preparing for my big day!! Although its damn tiring!
